How PuzzlePal works

PuzzlePal is a helper for real, physical jigsaw puzzles on your table. Take a photo of the puzzle box, then snap any loose piece with your phone camera. PuzzlePal compares the piece to the box picture and tells you the row and column where it belongs, so you spend less time hunting and more time puzzling.

You can scan one piece at a time, or lay a handful of pieces on the table and photograph them all at once — PuzzlePal marks a spot for each one. Every scan is saved to your puzzle shelf, and you can sort pieces into colour-coded groups to tackle the sky, the sea, or the border separately.

What is the Puzzle Hall of Fame?

The Puzzle Hall of Fame is PuzzlePal’s members-only corner for puzzle lovers. Anyone with a free account can pull up a chair: post the puzzles you’ve finished, ask questions when one defeats you, and see how you stack up against other puzzlers.

Every finished puzzle earns points — 100 for the puzzle, plus 1 for every 10 pieces — so a 1,000-piece finish is worth 200. Questions are for conversation, not competition.

Common questions

Does PuzzlePal work with any jigsaw puzzle?

Yes — any puzzle with a clear picture on the box. Photograph the box once, and every piece you scan is matched against that picture.

Do I need to photograph every piece?

No. Scan only the pieces you're stuck on, or scan a whole handful at once and let PuzzlePal place them all.

Is PuzzlePal a puzzle game?

No — it doesn't replace your puzzle. It helps you finish the real cardboard puzzle sitting on your table.

What happens to my photos?

Your box and piece photos stay in your private account. Photos you choose to post at the Puzzle Hall of Fame are visible to other signed-in members, along with your display name.
